Dramatherapy has as its main focus the intentional use of healing aspects of drama and theatre as the therapeutic process. It is a method of working and playing that uses action methods to facilitate creativity, imagination, learning, insight and growth.

Our Key Objectives

At ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø we believe that Dramatherapy can be a powerful therapeutic force. It can facilitate and encourage creativity, imagination, learning, insight and growth. Our objectives are:

  • To promote the advancement of Dramatherapy as a profession
  • To be the representational body for dramatherapists in the UK
  • To promote, maintain, improve and advance the education of the public on the benefits of dramatherapy
  • To be an advocate for the establishment and maintenance of fair pay and conditions of service for dramatherapists
  • To forge links internationally
